eChallenges 2005

The e-2005 eChallenges Conference takes place in the beautiful city of Ljubljana. This is the fifteenth in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission, which regularly attracts over 500 delegates from commercial, government & research organisations around the world to share knowledge, experience, lessons learnt and good practice.

Focusing on eBusiness, eGovernment, eWork, eEurope beyond 2005 and ICT take-up by SMEs and International Co-operation on IST, the goal of e-2005 is to stimulate take-up of Research & Technology Development (RTD) results by industry, in particular SMEs, and the European public sector.

e-2005 will provide a forum to showcase the achievements of FP6, eEurope 2005 and Regional, National and International ICT related initiatives, and look forward to the future by focusing on the thematic priorities of FP6 and FP7. The European Research Area (ERA) and research priorities and trends for the future will also be discussed.

e-2005 provides an excellent networking environment to discuss problems and new ideas, share knowledge between commercial organizations, government agencies and the research community, to exchange experiences about the current state of eAdoption at a sectoral, national or regional level, support International Cooperation and open up the ERA to the rest of the world. This will help increase Return On Investment (ROI) through better exploitation of results and better co-ordination of research activities.

The programme will combine strategic keynote presentations, technical, legal and policy papers, business case studies, workshops and tutorials, an exhibition and social activities.
